~The Elephant's Lullaby~

"Nice little music video you got there :)"

date: December 14, 2008

The sounds were pretty simple and the song went on smoothly, must be pretty good for those elephants i must say. The graphics were too, simple but nice... the only thing that sort of bothered me was were that monkey stood during the whole thing XP

Anyway, nice job (y)

PS: You might want to do a version with explosions too :D

PPS:
to 'serpx' who said "This will be a fantastic video to show to the little kids who roam around my apartment! I'll finally get laid tonight thanks to you!!!!"
Please dont do that to the poor little children.

Look Both Ways!

"Made me smile :)"

submission: Look Both Ways!

If you added sound and a little more detail on the background it might be better :D
Also, add some ease to that eye tween; btw no one throws up with their eyes open x3

Well good luck with your animations~

Hands of War RPG

"Work of a talented still careless person"

submission: Hands of War RPG
date: December 4, 2008

The game had potential to be much better than it currently is, if lots of things were thought out properly.

Graphics:7
The NPCs were nicely designed and their animations were good as well, even though in the end of the game you may notice that most of the death animations get messed up. The backgrounds and overall level designs dropped the score, all the camps looked pretty much the same and so did the cities... rivers were square and the overworld map itself shows how basic this world is.

History:3
Honestly, the whole faction system is interesting but the game's history is pretty much "they don't like us and we don't like them, so you will walk around getting generic quests to kill people and make a powerful amulet (that isn't really that powerful in the end)". Your faction choices really wont affect the game, traders vs. mercs... both have merchants so they are pretty much the same; alliance vs. shadow runners... each town has a representative of both factions and I believe that the history is pretty much the same for both sides, things like collecting 3 parts of the amulet for one side and the last one for the other are likely possible, but blocked by the fact that once you are aligned it's terribly hard to change. As for the class factions, you might follow another class's faction, the only difference is that you will get some extra useless gear.

Character Development: 6
"Greetings, you are pretty much a no one without a past" would make a nice backstory for your character... still points were already taken from the history topic so lets move on. Attributes, those were rather nicely implemented but rather unbalanced in the end, which led to a sudden drop on the difficulty level when I noticed that I was able to kill without getting hurt, right after the first 'boss'. Skills, the game had a nice amount of them but most were useless at least for the archer class (which i played)-
Shoot Arrow- This skills is the first one, still this is your best source for pure DPS, which is all you really need here.
Bind Wound- Proves itself quite useful in the beginning, and does the same in the ending if you want to waste mana instead of actually recovering your life.
Fetter- Good to know that after standing vulnerable for 2 seconds I get to imobilize a target that I can't even hurt (unless you want do neutralize the effects of this skill, which you don't, because you won't use it).
Frost Shot- This is your best friend for big fights, making you almost immortal... using this melee units will take a really long time to reach you, giving you enough time to kill them, 5 times. When you get this, you will probably be powerful enough to 2~3 hit ranged units, which will barely damage you.
Searing arrow- Sounds interesting at first, but soon you will notice that it's uses are limited, really limited... it has a huge cooldown and deals pretty much the same as a basic shot, taking 2.5 times longer to be cast.
Elven Shot- Should be a nice tool for some easy killing, you would expect a huge damage for it's cooldown even though it can only hit one target... well good news, searing arrows look rather powerful when compared to this, which is 0.5 seconds faster to cast and equally pathetic in power.

Creatures:7
So you basically have 3 types of creatures:
The melee one, that chases after you without the use of a really smart AI (this comment does not affect the judgement).
The ranged one, that shoots something, walks towards you, rinses and repeats...
aaaand the 4th boss, which shoots stuff at you, does it a few more times, teleports and does it again.
The addition of equipment drops made it more worthwhile to actually kill stuff, and added some valuable gameplay.

Note:
If you have reached the middle~beginning of the end of the game with about 1500 points in your faction, try to turn that into 3000, if you want to beat the game, of course.

Final note:
The game scores an 8~9 for 1 hour, drops to 7 at 2 and doesn't drop more after 6 because you actually wasted more than 12% of your day on it.

Another note:
I lied about the final note thing:D
